Dare to Lead
Brave Leaders. Courageous Cultures.
Uncertain Times Call for Daring Leaders
We need braver leaders and more courageous cultures, especially in times of unpredictable change, social disconnection, and uncertainty.
The world is desperate for daring leaders who are self-aware, know how to have hard conversations, hold themselves and others accountable, build trust, lead with empathy and connection, take smart risks that lead to innovation, reset quickly after disappointments and setbacks, and give and receive feedback – especially when it’s tough.
Dare to Lead™ will help you move from being an armored leader to being a daring leader.
Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program...what Brené refers to as a “skill-based playbook for leaders.” The most significant finding from her latest research is that courage is not an inherent quality (you either have it or you don’t) but rather it is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.
These skill sets are:
Rumbling with Vulnerability: Facing risk, uncertainty, and emotional exposure with courage and clarity.
Living into our Values: Identifying, operationalizing, and practicing the beliefs that we hold most important.
BRAVING Trust: Creating or deepening connections in relationships and teams based on the seven elements of trust.
Learning to Rise: Learning and growing from the failures, setbacks, and disappointments that are inevitable when we are brave with our lives.
Through engaging group work, small group sharing, individual reflections, and facilitated discussion (all introduced by video teachings from Brené), you'll get this 'courage work' in your bones. Not only will it change how you work and lead, you'll become a better spouse, parent, and friend... you'll be more courageous in all areas of your life.
As a Certified Dare to Lead™ Facilitator, Lisa focuses on developing these courage-building skills through facilitating workshops, trainings and one-on-one coaching to help individuals, teams and organizations drop the armor and lead daringly.
If you're interested in joining an upcoming Dare to Lead™ workshop where you can experience Brené's work in a group setting, select one of the dates and cities to the right.
