Do EPIC Stuff
It’s a word that’s been coming up all around me lately.
It means legendary. Grand. Impressive. Remarkable. Heroic.
Jean Claude Van Damme doing the Epic Splits which caused me to think about achieving epic accomplishments which inspired me to write a presentation with that title.
Then I was watching a webinar by Jonathan Fields who was sharing 18 elements to starting a revolution and I saw it in one of his slides… the photo was a guy traversing rocks with a T-shirt on that said ‘Do Epic Sh*t’.
It commanded my attention.
Am I doing epic stuff?
I left a 20-year career in corporate America to start my own business. That’s epic.
I’m intentional about raising two strong, morally upright children. That’s epic.
I help others roll on the throttle and kick their potential into high gear. That’s epic.
No, I haven’t climbed Mt. Everest. I don’t run into burning buildings to rescue people. I don’t make millions of dollars and have hotels named after me. But what I do in my everyday life is pretty darn epic. It might not be impressive or remarkable to the world, yet, but it’s legendary in my own life.
When I think back to all the things I’ve accomplished in my life, the amazing places I’ve been, and the people I’ve met along the way… I’d say I’ve done epic sh*t. But the coolest thing is that I’ve still got an ‘epic stuff’ list I’m working through.
I’ll bet you’re doing epic stuff too. It may seem really ordinary and not very heroic to you but to somebody else it is. However, if you’re not doing epic stuff then I gotta ask “What are you waiting for!?” Start an epic stuff list and start doing epic stuff.
Just do epic stuff.
