Welcome

First of all, thank you for wanting to learn a little bit more about me as a speaker. I’m honored you’re here!

My philosophy as a speaker is to inspire others and affect change. I don’t speak to fill empty minutes or to offer light entertainment. My goal is to have a positive impact on the lives of those I cross paths with.

I would dare say that you, too, as an organizer, have a specific goal or outcome in mind when organizing your event and selecting a speaker. You’re not taking this journey to simply travel in a big circle coming back to where you started. I’ll take the time to understand the outcome you want to create.

To visit with me about your event, send me an email at Lisa@FullThrottleLiving.com and we’ll set up a time to connect.

My Most Requested Topics…

I speak for corporations, conferences, and business groups. My sweet spot is professional women’s groups. Yes, I can teach on sales development and leadership principles but I love teaching women how to ‘obey their inner rumble’!

You’ll notice I use a lot of motorcycling terms… among other things, motorcycling is what I’m passionate about. Motorcycling is a natural metaphor for what we experience on the road called life. The great news is you don’t have to know a thing about motorcycling, or have ever been on a motorcycle, to follow what I teach.

Listed below are teachings I have already delivered but it’s not an all-encompassing list. If you have a specific topic, let’s explore it! By understanding your group’s needs, I can tailor a teaching for you. Think of it as designing your own custom-build motorcycle!

Have you ever been at a stoplight when a pack of Harley riders pulls up in the lane next to you? What do they do? You’re right… with a slight twist of the throttle they rev their engines. They understand the potential beneath them and no stoplight is going to keep them from tapping into that power.

But what about you? Do you understand the power and potential within you? Is there an inner rumble that you’ve been ignoring for too long? Don’t you just want to kick it into gear and experience life at full throttle?

The good news is that you can accomplish exactly that without even throwing your leg over the seat of a Harley! Ride along with Lisa as she guides you to discover the 5 tactics to tapping into your POWER and living life at full throttle!

Listen hard…. do you hear it? It might be faint but it’s there. Romp… Romp… Romp…

It’s the thing that ignites your soul. Romp… Romp… Romp…

It’s your inner rumble and it’s getting too loud to ignore. Romp… Romp… Romp…

Every woman has an inner rumble. Every woman believes in something passionately. But not every woman knows how to tune her ear to hear the echoes within. Not every woman has the courage to pursue her passion. It’s a journey filled with excitement yet apprehension, exhilaration yet nervousness.

Weary of ignoring the romp in her life for too long, Lisa realized that idling got her nowhere. She had no other choice than to obey her inner rumble. Through sharing her own experiences, Lisa will challenge you to marry your passion with your calling, encourage you to punch fear in the face, and motivate you to kick your passion into high gear. She will arm you with tools to identify your inner rumble, boldly shift into gear, and roll on the throttle.

Embarking on a journey to unleash your passion isn’t for the faint of heart. So gear up, hang on, and get ready for the ride of your life. It’s time to obey your inner rumble.

Living the journey or loving the journey… the difference between the two is just one letter but this one letter has a powerful impact on how you live your life. Are you simply living the journey where you’re just along for the ride or are you loving the journey where you’ve grabbed life by the bars and you’re rolling on the throttle?

Lisa will share with you 3 steps of how you can love your journey in order to fully experience your road trip called life. She’ll weave her personal story of going from an over-worked, guilty mom to ultimately walking away from corporate America to pursue her passion.

So get ready! Lisa will challenge you to pack your bags, plan your destination, then power up to Love the Journey.

Your life is one, long road trip. You’ve got a starting point and a final destination; and what you do between those two mile markers makes up your life. Lisa’s mantra is simple… for every ride there is a lesson and she is a student of the road.

Lisa has been riding motorcycles for over 17 years and motorcycling has taught her many lessons about life. In this presentation, Lisa invites you to travel with her as she shares what she has learned on her own road trip. She’ll challenge you to think about where you need to lean into the curves of life. She’ll encourage you to pay attention to your RPM’s so you know when it’s time to either upshift or downshift. She’ll inspire you to discover your own road and give you the courage to travel that road.

Here’s the best part… you don’t have to own a motorcycle or even ride a motorcycle to understand these lessons. Through her stories, Lisa will take you on a journey so that you too can be a student of the road without even throwing a leg over the saddle.

The Wright brothers wanted to fly. Martin Luther King Jr. wanted equality for all people. President John F. Kennedy wanted to put a man on the moon. Avis and Effie Hotchkiss wanted to ride a motorcycle from Brooklyn, NY to San Francisco, CA. All of them achieved it!

When studying every epic accomplishment in history, they all had 4 things in common. Each person shifted through 4 specific gears to achieve greatness. Lisa knows what these gears are, uses them in both her personal and professional life, and shares exactly how to effectively shift through these 4 gears. This presentation is designed for businesses, sales teams, or other organizations who want to achieve epic accomplishments!

75% of people today are not living their life with passion. Only one out of four people has found their passion and is living it. These are disheartening statistics.

According to Lisa, finding your passion is a journey. A journey where there are many routes to take and numerous roads to go down. These roads are winding and sometimes you can’t see where the road leads. There are exit ramps and on ramps and occasionally a mile or two of road construction. But luckily, there are road signs that are put in place to guide your journey.

Lisa believes that life leaves clues to our passion. So if we pay attention, we’ll find signs along the road that will tell us which way to go to find our ultimate destination… a fulfilled yet adventurous… satisfied yet passionate life.

Working in a corporate or business setting is like hitting the road with a group of motorcyclists… everyone is riding to the same destination but each on his own motorcycle.

As the leader, the Road Capitan’s role is to make sure everyone arrives at the same destination safely. Each rider, however, is responsible for his or her own ride. This means being geared up, fueled up, and ready to ride.

For team members, being ‘geared up’ means to exhibit 6 qualities of an effective team member… being ready to communicate, ready for change, ready to be reliable, ready to see ahead, ready to solve problems, and ready to participate. If your team members aren’t fully geared up, you’ll burn daylight waiting for them to gear up and your ride will be delayed.

In this presentation, Lisa will explain the concept of being ‘geared up’ and show each rider how and when to put their gear on so they are ready to ride!

A Lesson in Circling Back

March 3rd, 2016|0 Comments

Practicing empathy is hard especially because we practice with people… people are complicated. There isn’t a dashboard displaying what we each need most at that very moment in time. No billboards above our heads flashing ‘I need empathy’. We gotta go with our gut and sometimes we miss an opportunity completely. That’s what happened to me a few months ago… […]

Empathy is a Practice

February 26th, 2016|0 Comments

My thoughts from Brené Brown’s 3rd class in the Living Brave semester… Empathy and self-compassion… such a simple title but I knew I was in for it. Empathy AND self-compassion, not just one of the other but both! I was going to walk away from this lesson with a black eye thanks to Brené’s one-two punch. There is significant room for improvement in my life in these two areas. […]

The Tradeoff of Vulnerability

January 28th, 2016|0 Comments

Following are my thoughts upon finishing Lesson 2 in Brené Brown’s Living Brave class.  Vulnerability is a taboo word in today’s society. Any mention of the word and voices are lowered, shifty eyes glance left and right, and you’re shushed with “I don’t do vulnerability.” […]
