This is a post that I’ve wanted to write for quite some time now.  I don’t know why I haven’t written it before… maybe because it’s kind of harsh and I really don’t want to be ‘that’ girl. If you think you’ll be offended by what I’m going to say, then you best stop reading right here and go read something that makes you feel good about yourself.

Want to know why you’re still in a job that doesn’t light your fire?

Why? Because you’re lazy. You’re too comfortable. You’re complacent. You’re a scaredy cat. You’d rather have something to complain about than stepping up and having the guts to make a change in your life.

There… I said it.

Hit a nerve? Good. Keep reading…

You… yes… you. You have more to offer the world than what you’re giving it right now. I’m convinced of that. So why aren’t you?

If you’re lazy, wake up sleepy head! Get motivated by something… anything!

If you’re comfortable, find an injustice in the world and start making it better.

If you’re complacent, get out of your routine and make a difference somewhere.

If you’re a scaredy-cat, well… dig deep and find your inner lion.

And if you’d rather complain, either shut up or put up a fight for what you believe in.

In all these cases, you’ve got to have the guts to change. Nobody is going to do it for you.  Your boss isn’t going to find you a new job because frankly, he doesn’t care. Your co-workers aren’t going to make sure you love your job because they don’t like their jobs either. YOU are the only one that can say enough is enough…

So, the next time you want to complain about your dumb job, you have one of two choices… either quit it (no one’s listening) or quit ‘it’ and find a new one.
